Early & growth stage

Long-term ownership

Capitali's venture activity invests proprietary capital in early and growth-stage companies where we believe technology, strong founders, and durable markets intersect. Because the capital is our own, we are not bound by fund cycles, deployment schedules, or artificial exit windows. We can be patient when patience is right, and decisive when the opportunity is.

We approach venture investing as ownership, not trading. A position is a relationship with a team and a business we expect to follow for years, and often to work inside.

What we look for

  • 01Founders with deep conviction and the operating ability to match it
  • 02Products where technology creates real structural advantage, not novelty
  • 03Markets large enough to matter and young enough to shape
  • 04Business models that strengthen as they scale — through data, network, or workflow lock-in
  • 05Alignment on governance, transparency, and long-term value creation

We pass on opportunities that are exciting but not understandable to us. Concentration of conviction matters more than breadth of exposure at this stage of the platform.

How we work with companies

Capital is the beginning of the relationship, not the end of it. Through ME Ventures — our venture studio and value-creation platform — portfolio companies can draw on operating support across product, technology, AI adoption, go-to-market, and organisational design.

This is the structural difference in our model: Capitali allocates capital, and ME Ventures builds and transforms businesses. A founder backed by Capitali gets an investor and an operating platform in the same relationship.

Geography and themes

Our venture activity is oriented toward the ASEAN–GCC corridor — two regions with deepening capital flows, complementary strengths, and a growing generation of technology companies. Within it, we pay particular attention to applied AI, fintech and Islamic-economy infrastructure, logistics and connectivity, and technology-enabled business services.

These are the same themes that run through our written perspectives: we invest where we also think, and we publish what we think so founders can judge the fit before the first conversation.
